Hardwood floor installation starts at $1.60 per square foot for labor, plus materials. The final cost depends on the wood species you choose, the condition of your subfloor, and the square footage of the project. Most residential projects are completed in one to three days. Larger homes or projects requiring subfloor work may take longer. We will give you a clear timeline during your estimate.
Engineered hardwood can be glued directly over concrete. Solid hardwood requires a plywood subfloor on concrete. We assess your specific situation during the estimate and recommend the best approach.
For prefinished hardwood, you can walk on the floors immediately after installation. For sitefinished floors (sanded and coated on-site), we recommend waiting 24 to 48 hours before light foot traffic and up to 7 days before placing furniture.
