Understanding the Process
Sanding
When a wood floor loses its luster, the usual solution is to sand it down to raw wood and completely refinish it. We block off all other areas and then use a dust control vacuum.
Staining
Just like the hardwoods there are various colors and qualities in stain and polyurethane depending on your budget.
Polyurethane
The hardwood refinishing process begins with sanding, then staining, and 3 coats of polyurethane to create a more durable finish.
WE TAKE THE TIME TO ASSESS YOUR UNIQUE NEEDS
Before we get started, we assess the condition and type of hardwood floor you have to be sure that it can withstand hardwood floor refinishing.
A solid hardwood or high-quality engineered hardwood can handle several refinishing projects in its lifetime, but some engineered products have a thin top layer and cannot be done more than one or two times.
We are dedicated to putting your needs first, which means providing you with the honest answers you deserve about the condition of your hardwood flooring and how to best proceed to restore it.
Whether you have one room or an entire home that needs hardwood floor refinishing, count on us to exceed your expectations. You won’t find a more trustworthy and reliable hardwood professional in the Connecticut area.
